Staples-Smith, Inc.

1950s

Cecilia Staples was a visionary in window display design, creating dazzling department store windows for Bloomingdale’s and other top New York retailers. She co-founded Staples-Smith, Inc. with artist Ira Smith, building a Brooklyn-based firm that grew to 80 employees at its peak. This letterhead was used in the 1950s, at the height of her influence.
